Meaning

because / even if / even though it is expensive

A coordinate conjunction indicating that even if one accepts a premise expressed in the preceding sentence once cannot jump to an expected conclusion from the premise.

Examples

TOEICで高得点を取れからと言って、英語を上手く話せるわけではないよ。
TOEIC de kotokuten wo toreta kara to itte, eigo wo umaku hanaseru wakedehanai yo.
(Getting high scores in TOEIC doesn’t mean you can speak English well.)

お金をたくさん稼いでいるからと言って、調子にのるなよ。
okane wo takusan kaseideiru kara to itte, choshi ni noruna yo.
(Don’t get cocky just because you are making lots of money!)
